Shad take spoons and fresh sardine in the backline, garrick respond to live bait and spoons along the piers, and kob prefer live or fresh bait at dawn and dusk. Offshore boats target king mackerel (couta), tuna, dorado and other gamefish, especially around the winter sardine run.
